Goblinwoode is a small forest in Kerry, Ireland where I first started to notice faces, goblins, imps, dryads, animal hybrids and other monsters superimposed over the forms of wood and stone..<\/strong>.<\/strong> More<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why Goblins?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Most etymologies agree that the word goblin derives from notions of mischievous spirits haunting homes, forests, caves and other spaces where interplays of light and shadow give rise to pareidolia. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Where are they?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Goblinwoode project is about sharpening an awareness of what’s right in front of us. It’s about learning to see, encounter, and think differently about the world and the non-human entities with which we co-create our environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
